Sorry, registration has ended.

We will be holding our fourth and final Art in the Woods with Friends Friday, February 28th, from 1 - 3pm. The weather is looking nice and we are looking forward to getting together! Our theme this time is Fire - Iskotew 🔥 🙌 Grunthal Park is great for sledding, so bring your sleds! We will have a fire going, bannock dough to cook over the fire, and a lantern-making craft that's possible to do with mittens on :) It's also possible the snow will be a good consistency for sculptures! ☃️

Description

We will be holding our fourth and final Art in the Woods with Friends next Friday, February 28th, from 1 - 3pm. The weather is looking nice and we are looking forward to getting together - hope you are able to make it! Our theme this time is Fire - Iskotew 🔥🙌

Grunthal Park is great for sledding, so bring your sleds! We will have a fire going, bannock dough to cook over the fire, and a lantern-making craft that's possible to do with mittens on :) It's also possible the snow will be a good consistency for sculptures!

If you're interested in attending, send us an email at info@gerhardcenter.org Registration is mostly full, but we have room for a few more families as of this posting!

Please note that the washrooms at Grunthal Park shut down for the winter. The nearest public washrooms are in Grunthal at the gas station - your family may want to use the washroom just before you arrive to maximize fun outdoor time at the park. Feel free to drop in any time in the afternoon between 1 and 3pm.

If you're able to bring some extra tin cans (cleaned) for lantern-making, that would be awesome. We will have some there for folks as well.

Remember to dress well for the weather. It's going to be beautiful compared to how it's been lately, but of course, snow pants tucked around boots, hats, scarves, extra socks and mitts packed just in case, a good waterproof shell and warm core layers are very important to have!

🔥 Here are some resources for your family to learn more about Fire.🔥Looking forward to seeing you soon,

Kara, Candice, and The GEDREC Team
