Deanna Kazina

Deanna Kazina (She/her/hers) is Metis and passionate about nature and education, and is a co-founder of GEDREC. She is a past Program Director of Bridging the Gap, a Winnipeg based culturally relevant environmental learning program, a contributor to the Senior 4 Lake Winnipeg curriculum, and has been published in Green Teacher Magazine. Passionate about seeds, Deanna established the Concordia Seed Project and is the founder of Montreal's first seed library (the Atwater Seed Library) which has been profiled on Radio Canada and CBC News. Deanna holds a BSc. in Geography from the University of Winnipeg and an Indigenous Permaculture Certificate. The mother of two kids, Deanna believes deeply in the need for youth to connect with and honor the land.
